Creative Spaces

I think we all have a DREAM Studio in our hearts!
I am the queen of indecision and therefore would have a terrible time
actually deciding how to decorate my own sewing studio.
Which isn't a problem at the time seeing as though I am in a 2 bedroom
apartment where my "Sewing Studio" doubles as a second bedroom.

So for now, I will just drool over these awesomely inspiring spaces...

This is Heather Bailey's Studio. UNbelievably Cute.

And of course, Camille Roskelley's space is a close second in my book!
But how could it not with all those YUMMY fabrics?

I really like how tidy this space is. And the colors just inspire creativity.

I can just smell the wood in this room. So crisp and clean.
The shelving in this space would be a dream.

Soft and sweet. I love the color palette but I'm not sure I could attain
this with as quickly as my taste changes with color. But it certainly is lovely.

I love the cheerful energizing feel of this creative space.

Calm and soothing. As the signs say, RELAX. I just love this space.

Why hello there, secret storage in the closet. Simply genius.

Somehow Shabby Chic always finds a way to melt my heart. I just love this french country-side feel.
I just know I could look out that window and see the Eiffel Tower.

What would be a must have in your Dream Studio?

Brittany's Onesie Shower!

One of my new Etsy friends, Jennifer, hosted the most adorable shower for her friend Brittany!
She wrote me a little while back about having the Onesie Party at her shower
and it sounds like these ladies had a blast with it!

I have asked her to share a bit about the shower with us and here it is...

After a very long journey, my dear friend Brittany received an answer to prayer that she and her husband would finally be adopting a baby boy! Immediately, I wanted to throw her a baby shower to celebrate the wonderful and joyous news and to shower this mom-to-be with love!

Brittany loves everything "Chevron" so the shower theme was easily chosen.
I decided on a gray chevron pattern as it reflects the design of the nursery.

And since they are adopting a baby boy,
I added a few pops of blue throughout as well.

After a formal lunch, the mom-to-be opened presents, and then all the
guests created homemade onesies for Brittany to take home with her.

Creating the onesies was such a fun alternative to playing shower games,
and all the guests loved it!

I received so many complements from the guests about how much they enjoyed making the onesies.
Thank you Sarah for such a wonderful idea and materials!

Brittany and I are both military spouses, and sadly she and her husband had just recently moved on to another Army assignment. It was very special to have her back with us in Tennessee, surrounded by friends that have supported and traveled on this incredible journey with her.

It was an amazing day, and I know she will forever treasure this day in her heart!

ONE YEAR!!!

Well, that sure went by FAST!
I can't believe it's already been one year since we
got hitched in Aggieland!!

We heard so many mixed opinions about how our first year of marriage would be.
"The first year is the hardest" was the most common one we heard.

Well thank the Lord, that was not true!
We have been blessed beyond belief this year and love each other more than ever.

"We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19

Here is our stop-motion video to recap our Best Day Ever, one year ago. :)

Sarah & Michael's Wedding

I would like to introduce you to another lovely couple that
I had the honor of making a Wedding Quilt for.

This is Sarah & Michael...

Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and I love every last detail of it!
Make sure to visit her photographer's blog to see all of their beautiful photos.

Sarah was sweet enough to share a bit of their love story and some details from their Big Day with us!
------------------------------------------------------------------

Me and my new husband met our Fall semester of our Senior year of high school in our equine science class. We have been together for almost five years now and we are extremely happy. Things have been a bit difficult for the past year and a half since he's been stationed in Japan but he comes back to the states in December and we will be able to be together then.

Our wedding was June 1, 2013 at the Robert Carr Chapel in Fort Worth TX and our
reception was at The Fort Worth Club.

Everything turned out better than I could've ever imagined! It was amazing! All of our vendors were amazing and everything came together beautifully.
My favorite part of the whole day was when my husband and I got to our reception. They had a little room set up with champagne and hors d'oeuvres for just the two of us. So we went back there when we first got to the reception and we were able to just sit together and have a private moment to soak it all in. It was amazing :)

The wedding quilt was perfect for us. We chose to have the wedding quilt used as our "guest book" at our reception because we loved the idea of all of our loved ones writing us a message that we would be able to display and look at more frequently than a regular guest book. We were so happy that we were able to have the quilt. It is something that is very special to us that we can see us passing down to our children.

My fiancé loved the idea of having the quilt because of how special and different it is. It is so special to us because it was written on by all of our loved ones. Being able to see someone's handwriting is just something special. With all of the letter that my husband and I have written to each other we truly understand how comforting it can be to see someone's handwriting when you're missing them.

I got:

My dress: Stardust Celebrations. I had an AMAZING consultant there named Liz Castaneda. Anyone who chooses to go to Stardust to look for their special gown should ask for Liz.

Shoes: I got my gorgeous pink Valentino bow shoes from Nordstrom's.

Flowers and Decor: Tami Winn Events did all of my flowers and all of the decor. Tami was also my wedding planner and I have no idea how I would've done everything without her. She was absolutely amazing.

Photographer: Tracy Autem/ Lightly Photography. She was amazing also! She got every shot I could've dreamed of.
